Rubbermaid locking food storage set

What it is good at

• Sealing liquids without leaking into a bag
• Stacking and nesting to use vertical space
• Being see-through so leftovers actually get eaten

Check before you buy

• Hinge construction: a living hinge eventually tears, a separate seal is replaceable
• Whether the sizes nest inside each other when empty
• Material safety for hot oil and tomato

Who it is not for

Anyone who wants to microwave a sealed lid at full power, or freeze a brim-full container.

Storage containers are a system, not a product: buy one range and add to it, because mismatched lids are how cupboards become useless.

The two failure points are the hinge and the gasket. If both are sold as spares, the container will outlast the set.
